Trips, Slips & Falls

Categories: Uncategorized. | March 22, 2018

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), falls are a leading cause of industrial injuries.   OSHA estimates that 25% of all work injury claims are from slips, trips and falls.  That translates to over one million workers’ comp claims filed every year.

We see injuries caused by falls in all occupational settings, from a clerk tripping over an open filing cabinet drawer, to a construction worker falling on an industrial job site.  Any type of fall can result in serious injuries such as:

  • Sprains
  • Cuts and Abrasions
  • Twisted Knees
  • Wrist Injuries
  • Back sprains
  • Head Trauma
  • Broken bones

If you have suffered an injury on the job, you are entitled to receive compensation for the damages. In Illinois, it is not necessary to show that your employer was negligent in your fall.  Your injury alone is enough to file your workers’ comp claim.
